HOMOEOPATHY FOR SINUSITIS
Sinusitis refers to inflammation of any of the sinuses,
the air filled cavities in the bones around the nose
The sinuses
are air filled cavities in the skull situated behind the nose and eyes and in
the cheeks and forehead. They are lined with a mucus secreting membrane and are
connected to the nasal cavity by a number of narrow channels. Healthy sinuses
are sterile and open, allowing mucus to drain and air to circulate . When inflamed
the sinuses become blocked with mucus and can become infected . It can be acute
or chronic
HOMOEOPATHY MEDICINES
1.
Kali bichromicum 30 – Aching and fullness between eye brows
in the fore head. Semilateral headache in small spots. Thick ropy sticky
greenish yellow discharge. Nostrils blocked. Give every 4 hours
2. Pulsatilla 30- Chronic cold with loss of smell. Sinus
with frontal tenderness which is sensitive to touch. Yellow green discharge.
Better in cool open air. Give every 4 hours

Siliceae 30- Pain begins at the back of the head
and settles over the eyes, worse under a fan very sensitive to cold air and
mist, wrap up the head. Give every 4 hours
4. Iodum 30- Shooting hammering pain in the head
and lower jaw, especially during the attack of catarrh. Worse by bending
forward. Affects right of the head, ear, and lower jaw. Give every 4 hours

Kali iodide 30- Tearing or jerking stitches in
sinuses. Digging and aching coryza occurs repeatedly. Nose red and swollen.
Thick green and offensive discharge. Give every 4 hours
6.
Hepar sulph. 30- Thick offensive nasal discharge
smells like old cheese. Boring pain in the right temple and in root of nose
every morning. Worse cold air. Give every 4 hours
7. Sanguinaria Canadensis 30- Pain in the right eye brow. Profuse,
offensive, yellowish discharge. Give every 4 hours
8. Aurum met. 30- When well selected remedied fail.
Violent pain in head, worse at night. Blood stained thick yellow or greenish
discharge. Give every 4 hours
9.
Bacillinum 1M—Intercurrent remedy. One dose every
15 days
