PLATANUS: A REMEDY FOR TARSAL TUMORS

PLATANUS

BOTANICAL NAME:  Platanus occidentalis Linn.

FAMILY:  Platanaceae

COMMON NAMES: English: Sycamore, Buttonwood, Plane-tree.

DESCRIPTION:  A  large, deciduous tree up to 50 m high and 4m in diameter. The leaves are alternate, broad, and palmate, with 3-5 sharply toothed lobes, they are cordate or truncate at the base, with petioles shorter than the blades and substanded by broad, toothed stipules. Male nd female flowers are in separate and naked spherical heads, with tiny and insignificant corolla and calyx. The fruit is a spherical body.

DISTRIBUTION:  London, England, North America.

PART USED:  Young shoots.

HOMOEOPATHIC USES

A remedy for Cataract and Ichthyosis.

TARSAL TUMORS:  Both acute and old neglected cases. Where destruction of tissue occurred abd scar tissue caused marked deformity of eyelid, restored to practically normal conditions. Acts best in children. Must be used for sometime. Apply mother tincture externally.

POTENCY: 3X and higher.
