FAMILY:  Xanthorrhoeaceae.

COMMON NAMES:  English: Grass tree

DESCRIPTION:   It is a grass tree have a short stout trunk that is often burned black from previous bush fires terminating with a dense tuft of long grass like leaves radiating from the crown. The leaves are dull green to blue-grey, 5 to 8 mm wide. Flowers cream to white with dark brown bracts. The inflorescence is a spike. Fruit a capsule.

HOMOEOPATHIC USES

KIDNEY: A good kidney tonic. Severe pain in kidneys. Cystitis and gravel. Pain from ureter to bladder and testicles. Pain in small of back returns from least chill or damp.
