DESCRIPTRION: A tall tree
up to 40 m in height. The bark appears in the form of long curved fragments, grayish outside
and reddish on inner side. Leaflet 5-9,
oblong to ovate obovate, usually abruptly acuminate , entire or serrate. Flowers
appear in early spring. White ash is dioecious, means male and female flowers
are on different trees. The fruits have long narrow wings. Buds are rich brown
with an interesting scaly texture.
