Trigeminal neuralgia  also known as prosopalgia  is a neuropathic disorder characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face. The pain of trigeminal neuralgia  is from the trigeminal nerve. The trigeminal nerve is a paired cranial nerve that has three major branches: theophthalmic nerve(V1), the maxillary nerve (V2), and the mandibular nerve (V3). One, two, or all three branches of the nerve may be affected. 1–6% of cases occur on both sides of the face but extremely rare for both to be affected at the same time Trigeminal neuralgia most commonly involves the middle branch (the maxillary nerve or V2) and lower branch (mandibular nerve or V3) of the trigeminal nerve

MEZEREUM 200-Mezereum affects right side of face . The main indication towards this medicine being worse from eating.
BELLADONNA 200-Belladona is very well indicated medicine for this condition when the face is very red hot and swollen.
AGARICUS MUSCARICUS 30- Agaricus Muscarius  is a medicine when there is sensation of icy cold needles piercing through the face.
ALLIUM CEPA 30- Trigeminal neuralgia due to injury . Left side is affected-
 HYPERICUM PERFORATUM 200- Due to injury.  Trigeminal neuralgia on the right side .
COFFEA CRUDA 200-If Trigeminal Neuralgia is triggered by emotional excitement , Coffea cruda is the best choice.
ACONITUM NAPELLUS 30- DULCAMERA 30-If the complaint begins from cold exposure two medicines  Aconitum napellus  and Dulcamara can be used. The differentiating point between the above medicines is that the former is used after dry cold wind exposure and the latter after wet cold wind exposure.
