BOTANICAL NAME:  Sempervivum tectorum Linn.

FAMILY:  Crassulaceae

COMMON NAMES:  English: House leek

DESCRIPTION:  An evergreen perennial upto 30 cm in height with fibrous root having several tufts of leaves. Leaves narrowly obovate, sessile, alternate, acute, keeled, fringed and exceedingly succulent. Flowers pink-purple in color.

DISTRIBUTION: Grows throughout Europe and cultivated in the USA

HOMOEOPATHIC USES

TONGUE CANCER: Scirrhous induration of tongue. Ulcers which bleed easily, especially at night. Much soreness of tongue with stabbing pain. Whole mouth very tender.

Also for breast cancer.

HERPES ZOSTER: A remedy for Herpes zoster.

POTENCY:  Mother tincture and 3rd potency.
