HOMOEOPATHY FOR SNEEZING

 

Sneezing is our body’s way of removing irritants from the nose or throat. A sneeze is a powerful , involuntary expulsion of air. Air often happens suddenly and without warning.

While this symptom can be quite annoying , it is not usually the result of any serious health problem.

Causes

Sneezing can be triggered by a variety of things, including:

·         Allergens

·         Viruses, such as the common cold or flu

·         Nasal irritants

·         Inhalation of corticosteroids through nasal spray

·         Drug withdrawal

·         Trauma to nose

·         Withdrawal from certain drugs, such as opioid narcotics

·         Inhaling irritants, including dust and pepper

·         Breathing cold air

·         Exposure to bright light

Symptoms

Other symptoms with sneezing ,  including:

·         Burning, itchy or watery eyes

·         Nasal congestion or runny nose

·         Sore throat

·         Cough

·         Fever

·         Chills

HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES

Homoeopathy today is a rapidly growing system and is being practiced all over the world. When SNEEZING  is concerned there are many effective medicines available in Homoeopathy , but the selection depends upon the individuality of the patient , considering mental and physical symptoms.

ABROMA AUGUSTA:  Sneezing several times a day. Dryness of nose with irritation in nostrils resulting in a constant desire to rub the nostrils. There is fever associated with great thirst for cold water

ALLIUM CEPA:  Hay fever or allergic rhinitis. Profuse watery discharge with  sneezing, acrid burning, excoriating the nose and upper lip. Sneezing when entering a warm room. Headache, cough, hoarseness associated with sneezing. A feeling of lump at root of nose.

ANDROGRAPHIS PANICULATA: Sneezing . Discharge watery. No desire to do any work. Restlessness

ARALIA RACEMOSA:  Frequent sneezing. Sneezing worse least drafts with copious, watery, excoriating nasal discharge of salty acrid taste.

ARSENIC ALBUM:  Hay fever and coryza, worse in open air, better indoors. Thin, watery, excoriating discharge. Nose feels stopped up with fluent coryza. Burning and itching in nose. Great prostration.

 ARUNDO MAURITANICA: Sneezing  with itching of nostrils. Annoying itching in the nostrils and roof of the mouth. Hay fever. Coryza with loss of smell. Burning in nose and itching conjunctiva.

EUPHRASIA OFFICINALIS:  Fluent coryza, by day, obstruction of the nose at night. Profuse, bland fluent coryza. Excoriation nad painful sensibility of the nostrils.

JANOSIA ASOKA:  Profuse watery discharge from the nose. Sneezing. Soreness of nostrils. Nasal obstruction . Anosmia. Occasionally there may be nose bleeding. Weeping disposition.

JUSTICIA ADHATODA:  Coryza with cough. Profuse fluent coryza with constant sneezing. Loss of smell and taste.  Head full and heavy . Lachrymation.

NATRUM MURIATICUM:  Colds begin with sneezing. Fluent coryza , lasting from one to three days, then changing into stoppage of nose, making breathing difficult. Violent sneezing, especially early in the morning. Discharge thin and watery like raw white of an egg. Loss of smell and taste. Dr and internal soreness of nose.

OCCIMUM SANCTUM:  Inflammation of the mucous membrane of nose. Sneezing. Discharge may be white or yellow in color. Nostrils ulcerated. Complaints associated with nose bleeding. Drowsiness and prostration.

PHOSPHORUS: Sneezing worse from odors, smoke, with dyspnea, causes pain in throat. Coryza alternately fluent and dry, on alternate sides. Over sensitive to smell. Foul imaginary odors. Sneezing and coryza on putting hands in water. Swollen , red, and shiny nose.

SABADILLA:  Spasmodic , violent sneezing with running nose. Copious , watery nasal discharge. Coryza fluent , worse from the odor of flowers, even thinking of flowers increases the discharge. One or the other nostril stuffed up. Dry , itching, tickling in nose, rubs or picks at it. Coryza with severe frontal headache and redness of eyes and lachrymation.

SAPONARIA:  Violent sneezing with sharp burning taste and severe sore throat, worse right side, in a warm room.

SENNA:  Repeated sneezing, causing heat especially of hands, exhaustion and difficult breathing.
