An earache is a sharp, dull, or burning pain in one or both ears. The pain may last a short time or be on going.
Causes-The eustachian tube runs from the middle part of each ear to the back of the throat. This tube drains fluid that is made in the middle ear. If the eustachian tube becomes blocked, fluid can build up. This may lead to pressure behind the eardrum or an ear infection
Ear pain in adults is less likely to be from an ear infection. Pain that you feel in the ear may be coming from another place, such as your teeth, the joint in your jaw , or your throat. This is called "referred" pain.
Causes of ear pain may include:- arthritis of jaw, short term ear infection, long term ear infection, ear injury from pressure changes, objects stuck in the ear, or building of ear wax, hole in the ear drum, sinus infection, sore throat, temperomandibular joint syndrome, tooth infection
Symptoms- The symptoms of an ear infection may include:-Ear pain, fever, Fussiness, Increased crying, Irritability
Many children will have minor hearing loss during or right after an ear infection. Most of the time the problem goes away. Lasting hearing loss is rare, but the risk increases with the number of infections.
HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES
ACONITUM NAPELLUS 30- Useful  in early stages. Due to extreme cold and extreme heat
CALCAREA PICRATA 12X- Pain in the ear due to boils in the external ear
PULSATILLA NIG. 30-When Aconite fails. Thick yellowish or greenish discharge from the eras. Better at cold place and cold open air
ALLIUM CEPA 30- Shooting pain  in Eustachian tubes along  with cold. Worse indoors and warmth
BELLADONNA 30 – Severe unbearable pain . Redness of the external  and middle ear. Pain causes delirium . Child cries out in sleep
Externally dropped 3 drops of Belladonna ear glycerol in to the ear until the pain is relieved
CHAMOMILLA 30- A specific remedy for earache in children. Intolerable pain pain. Worse by warmth and at night
PLANTAGO Q- A specific remedy for earache
Locally instill 3 drops of Q  in to the aer
ACTEA SPICATA 30- Throbbing pain in the ear, while sneezing or blowing the nose
AETHUSA CYN. 30- Otalgia is relieved by boring a finger in the ear
CAPSCIUM 30- Otalgia due to rupture of the ear drum . Pains worse at night
GELSEMIUM 30- Otalgia during menopause
HEPAR SULPH 30- Otalgia due to an abscess in the ear. Patient does nor allow anyone to touch the ear, as touch increases the pain. Otalgia due to exposure to cold dry winds
MANGANUM 30- Pain shoots from ear to teeth
KALI BICH 30- Due to sinusitis
LACHESIS 200- It cure the tearing pain in the ear caused by the fungus in the ear, which is generally black or white
MERCURIUS SOL 30- Sticking pain in the ear. Worse from warmth of bed and at night
OSMIUM 30- When blows is blown
SPIGELIA 30- Earache due to pressure in ears from collection of wax
