DESCRIPTION: A large shrub up to 3m high. Bark ash
colored, wrinkled, younger parts and undersurface of leaves covered with appressed
white floccose tomentum. Leaves sub-sessile, thick, glaucous green, 10-20 cm
long, elliptic or obovate-oblong or shortly acuminate, with a narrow cordate or
often amplexical base. Flowers arranged in umbellate spreading, deltoid,
sub-acute.

USES
OBESITY: Calotropis
decreases flesh and muscles become harder and stronger.
RHEUMATISM: Slight pain inside the right thigh just below
the groin, sore, swollen, painful for every step. Intermittent cramping pain in
left foot, compels to move always in bed. Pain worse after rest, so severe as
to bring pain to eyes, pain relieved
after taking coffee. Cramping
pain in the center of the right palm when grasping anything, lasting for many
days. Pain in the wrist joint, worse on movement.
ASTHMA: Asthma after
syphilitic infection and mercurial poisoning. Oppression of chest, short
breath.
SYPHILIS: A remedy for
syphilis in all stages. It purifies blood.
LEPROSY: Leprosy
associated with violent burning in the whole alimentary canal.
FEVER: Frequent chills passing up through the spine.
Head hot body cold; cheeks burn like fire, chill returned towards bedtime even
when close to fire. Fits of perspiration alternating with chills. Dizziness,
dull occipital headache, especially at 11 am. Giddiness with inclination to
vomit. Violent burning in the whole alimentary canal.
