HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR ENDOMETRITIS

Endometritis is an inflammation or irritation of the lining of the uterus (the endometrium )

Causes--Endometritis is caused by an infection in the uterus. It can be due to chlamydia, gonorrhea, tuberculosis, or a mix of normal vaginal bacteria. It is more likely to occur after miscarriage or childbirth. It is also more common after a long labor or C-section.

The risk of endometritis is higher after having a pelvic procedure that is done through the cervix. Such procedures include:D & C, Endometrial biopsy, Hysteroscopy, Placement of an intrauterine device (IUD)

Endometritis can occur at the same time as other pelvic infections.

Symptoms--Swelling of the abdomen, Abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge, Discomfort with bowel movement (including constipation), Fever, General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling, Pain in lower abdomen or pelvic region (uterine pain)

HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICIES

APIS MEL 30- Metritis with burning and stinging pains, worse heat, touch and pressure

ARSENICUM ALB 30- Sticking pains in the pelvis extending down to thighs, worse in wet weather, after midnight, from cold and cold drinks and right side. Better from heat and warm drinks

BRYONIA ALB 30- Intermenstrual pain with great abdominal and pelvic,  soreness, worse from warmth and motion, better lying on painful side, pressure , rest and cold things

CHAMOMILLA 30- In acute metritis caused by severe disappointment , fit of anger, during menses or after confinement. Abdomen distended and sensitive

CIMCIFUGA RACEMOSA 30- Pain in the ovarian region shooting up wards the frontal surface of thighs. Pain across the pelvis from hip to  hip and immediately before menses. Worse morning and cold. Better warmth and eating. More the menstrual flow more is the suffering

CONIUM MACULATUM 30- In chronic metritis with or with out ovaritis or peritonitis. Abdomen distended. Clutching and squeezing in the womb. Painful pressure downwards. Bloody or milky leucorrhea. Vomiting. Hiccups

GELSEMIUM 30- Labor like pains, extending to the hips and back. Worse during damp weather and bad news. Better bending forward and by profuse urination

GRAPHITES 30- In chronic metritis with or without ovaritis but with skin affections

HYDROCOTYLE ASIATICA  3X- It is indicated when the cervix or the neck of the bladder is involved. There is dull pain in the ovarian region and redness of the cervix. Heat is felt in the vagina. Granular ulceration of the uterus is generally present

NUX VOMICA 30- Suitable in most cases of acute metritis with or with out peritonitis when the fever is not high or when the fever  has abated. Pain in the hypogastrium , small of back, swelling of the utrine orfice. Heaviness and burning in the abdomen

PLATINA 200- In acute metritis after confinement with increased sexual desire and itching of the womb

PULSATILLA NIG. 30- After getting feet wet, or from suppression of menses, with deficiency of milk, chilliness and thirstlessness. Pulling sensation and contraction in hypogastrium

SEPIA 30-It is indicated when vagina is involved and there is bearing down pains. Sticking and violent pains from the vagina to the uterus and are worse bathing, dampness and left side. Better by pressure and warmth

TILIA EUROPEA   30- Metritis after childbirth. Intense sore feeling about the uterus and bearing down sensation. Profuse hot perspiration which does not give relief
