BOTANICAL NAME: Terminalia chebula Ritz

FAMILY: Combretaceae

COMMON NAMES: Myrobalan

DESCRIPTION: A moderate sized, sometimes large, deciduous tree. Leaves not clustered, often sub opposite, 10-18 cm, ovate or elliptic, usually acute, not acuminate, rounded at the base, petiole 2-5 cm often with glands at the summit. Spikes terminal, often panicled. Flowers dull white, with an offensive smell. Fruit a drupe.

PART USED: Semi-mature fruit.

HOMEOPATHY

CONSTIPATION: Frequent desire for stool but passes only small quantity with great force or nothing comes out. Sweat during stool. Pressive pain. Itching and sensation of fullness in rectum. Stool hard and small.

DIARRHOEA: Small quantity of faces mixed with mucous, flatulence associated with burning in the stomach.

VERTIGO & HEADACHE:  Vertigo remains whole day and night aggravated by hot sun’s rays. Worse from motion, hard pressure, better by cold bathing, in the evening, from dry cold air, sleep, eating.

PAIN: Intense pain in the loin, aggravated on sitting, better by lying on in bed or sleeping. Pain in the back of the neck. Pressive pain in right chest or heart.

POTENCY: Mother tincture, 3x, 6x, 30CH
