CROTON TIGLIUM

BOTANICAL NAME: Croton tiglium Linn.

FAMILY: Euphorbiaceae

COMMON NAMES: English: Purging nut.

DESCRIPTION: A small evergreen tree. Young shoots sparsely stellately hairy. Leaves 5-10 cm long, thinly, membranous, glabrous, ovate. Capsule 8 mm long, white, turbinately ovoid obtusely trigamous 3 seeds, the seeds resemble castor beans in general structure.

DISTRIBUTION: India

PART USED: Oil from seeds.

HOMEOPATHY USES

DIARRHEA: Constant urging to stool followed by sudden evacuation of stools of yellow water, which is shot out of the rectum. Swashing sensation in intestines, as from water, before stool.

SKIN: Intense itching of genitals of both sexes. Vesicular eruption on male genitals. So sensitive and scratching is painful.  Better from gentle rubbing.

POTENCY: 6-30 potency.
