HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR RECTAL BLEEDING


Rectal bleeding can refer to any blood that passes from your anus, although rectal bleeding is usually assumed to refer to bleeding from your lower colon or rectum. Your rectum makes up the last few inches of your large intestine.
Rectal bleeding may show up as blood in your stool, on the toilet paper or in the toilet bowl. Blood that results from rectal bleeding is usually bright red in color, but occasionally can be dark maroon.
Causes-- Rectal bleeding may occur for many reasons. Common causes of rectal bleeding include:
·         Anal fissure  (a small tear in the lining of the anal canal)
·         Constipation
·         Hard stools
·         Hemorrhoids  (swollen and inflamed veins in your anus or rectum)
Less common causes of rectal bleeding include:
·         Anal cancer
·         Angiodysplasia (abnormalities in the blood vessels near the intestines)
·         Colon cancer
·         Colon polyps
·         Chron’s disease
·         Diarrhea
·         Diverticulosis (a bulging pouch that forms on the wall of the intestine)
·         Ischemic colitis  (colon inflammation caused by reduced blood flow)
·         Procitis
·         Pseudomembranous colitis
·         Radiation therapy
·         Rectal cancer
·         Ulcer of the rectum
·         Ulcerative colitis
Symptoms

·         Rectal pain
·         Bright red blood present in or on the stool
·         Change in stool color to black, red, or maroon.
·         Stool test positive for occult blood loss
·         Confusion
·         Dizziness, lightheadedness
·         Fainting, palpitation, or rapid heart beat.

ALUMINA 30—Alumina is effective for rectal bleeding due to hard stool. Stools of small balls, hard knots, or bright clots of blood. Great straining for stool. Evacuation preceded by painful urging long before stool and then straining at stool.

AMMONIUM CARB 30---Ammonium carb is effective for rectal bleeding due to hemorrhoids , which is worse during menses. Discharge of blood before and after stools.  Along with this constipation occurs with hard, dry stools, difficult and knotty. Itching at anus. Protruding hemorrhoids worse after stools, or without stools, better lying, cannot walk.

COLLINSONIA 30—Collinsonia is prescribed for rectal bleeding due to painful hemorrhoids. Hemorroids, which is chronic , alternating with heart, chest or rheumatic symptoms. A sensation of sharp sticks in rectum. Rectum aches, burns, seems dry and full of sticks or sand with cardiac pain. Along with hemorrhoids most obstinate constipation occurs. Itching of anus with hemorrhoids.

CROTALUS HORRIDUS 30—Crotalus horridus is effective for rectal bleeding where bleeding from anus occurs when standing or walking. Bleeding of black blood with black, thin, offensive stools like coffee grounds. Intestinal hemorrhage of dark, fluid, non coagulable blood.

FICUS RELIGIOSA Q—Ficus religiosa is best for rectal bleeding due to piles. The patient is melancholic , hence sensitive to noise. White coated tongue with profuse salivation.

HAMAMELIS Q—Hamamelis is effective for rectal bleeding due to hemorrhoids , which is bleeding profusely with soreness of rectum. Anus feels sore and raw. Large quantities of tar like blood in stools. Bloody dysentery.

LACHESIS 200—Lachesis is prescribed for rectal bleeding due to intestinal bleeding. Hemorrhage from bowels like charred straw , black particles.

NITRIC ACID 30---Nitric acid is effective for colorectal cancer with profuse bleeding of bright red blood during stool. It is also effective for profuse bleeding hemorrhoids. Bleeding from rectum after the removal of hemorrhoids. Violent cutting pain in rectum , which continues many hours after stool. Due to pain the patient walks in agony. The bowels constipated with fissures in rectum.

PHOSPHORUS 200—Phosphorus is effective for discharge of blood during stool. Bleeding haemorrhoids. Great weakness after stool. Phosphorus is adapted to tall slender persons of sanguine temperament, fair skin, delicate eyelashes, fine blond, or red hair, quick perceptions, and very sensitive.

RUTA GRAVEOLENS 30—Ruta is prescribed for colorectal cancer with discharge of blood with stool. Constipation alternating with mucus, frothy stools. Frequent unsuccessful urging to stool. Carcinoma affected the lower bowel with a feeling of extreme weakness and despair.

SEPIA 30—Sepia is effective for rectal bleeding with colorectal cancer. There is obstinate constipation. There is a feeling of weight or ball in rectum which is not relieved by stool. Bleeding during stool with fullness of rectum. There may be sometimes prolapsed of rectum may be seen.
